Keeping Orangevale’s Rural Roots Alive

Orangevale has a rich farming and agricultural history. Our town was a rural suburb of Sacramento with 10 acre parcels and the home of some of the healthiest soils and best orchards in the area. Over time, our community has changed and grown but the foundations of our rural roots remain intact. A large part of Orangevale’s residential zoning allows for a rural lifestyle, and many residents enjoy large backyard gardens and small farms. Many raise chickens and small livestock, and there is a large equestrian community in “OV”. The beauty of Orangevale is that we can enjoy country living with all the amenities of large suburban areas within just a short drive away. It’s the best of both worlds! Check out some of the things that Orangevale has to offer which helps to keep our community’s rural roots alive.
